ANOMIC thrash
death metal band (Netherlands-Germany) was created in 2023 by
Raafat “Raaf” Atasi, later Fadi Massamiri joined into the band
and they started to shape this debut EP entitled "Opacity" which
was released last May independently. The record contains 3
tracks with thrash old school essence like Kreator-Destruction
and death metal like Vader, even witch swedish death metal
touches.
“Opacity”
opens this EP with catchy riffs that alternate different tempos
characteristic of the most traditional death metal. The great
work on drums is done by Polish Krzysztof Klingbein (Belphegor (live),
Vader (live) who was invited to participate in this work.
"This Blood is Mine" continues to crush and the presence
Slayer`s old days is felt. Raafat's guitar riffs are like sharp
knives, Fadi's accompaniment is like a clock and together they
exchange voices perfectly. It should be noted that the
production of the material is very quality, everything sounds
natural and in balance.
The third and last track is "On Deaf Ears", more thrash
within the general context and with mysterious intervals,
Raafat's has skills to find those aggressives combinations
accompanied by lyrics that talk about politics, madness and
chaos social.
"Opacity" is a great EP that leaves us expectant of the debut
full-length without scheduled date yet. ANOMIC has a lot of
hierarchy in its music and this recording is just the beginning.
